The Oxford Literacy Independent  fiction texts include:  exciting stories with enticing and compelling storylines and characters, narrative and  comic formats,  along with story maps to help students retell the stories in their own words (included in levels 1-17 books).

Spud's the smallest member of his family.

That's OK except that Spud's family are a family of...GIANTS!

Spike and Daisy, Spud's brother and sister, tease him about being small which makes Spud sad.

But when his Mum and Dad find him a new friend in the shape of  Chips,  a new puppy, Spud finds that there are some advantages to being small.

Even when you're a giant!
